    Please, somebody buy this

Just played this. It's in excellent shape. I couldn't see any significant scratches and there are no cracks or repairs. I'm not a baritone player, but if you are, it seems like a good deal. You may even be able to knock them down on price a bit...

    Are you tenor or soprano?

The "spirit" of the Ukulele is in the soprano. The "soul" lies in the tenor. The concert is the "spirited soul" ...maybe.

Sold "As new" Ken Timms Soprano

Found the post I saw this on though not the original yet so he may have removed it. Anyway, I have edited that out of my ad as I don't want to mislead anyone.

Sold "As new" Ken Timms Soprano

I am fairly sure he posted somewhere here that he was retiring at the end of 2023 and his son Michael (?) was taking over. There was also mention of there being some remaining sopranos he'd made being sold over the coming weeks. I can't find the thread right now but will edit my ad accordingly.

Sold "As new" Ken Timms Soprano

After much thought I have decided to sell this ukulele. It’s everything everyone has said about it here but I am in a different mindset about Ukuleles than I was when I ordered it recently. I have a couple of other sopranos which are good enough when I need a soprano fix. I am considering buying...

    Ken Timms owners question

Hi. I received my Gator hard case today but the lower tuners do not clear the accessory compartment. I wonder if the case is a faulty build. It was purchased new but had the manufacturer's date of manufacture as Dec 2022. Anyway, I've sent it back and will try and find one in a music shop where...

    Boveda/SoCal

Hi, Any Southern California residents here that use Boveda humidity products inside their cases? Are they necessary? Right now the room with my ukuleles fluctuates on average between 50% and 65%. I have had solid wood acoustic guitars and a couple of solid top ukuleles for years with no issues...

    Tenor + Capo

I found a Capo I'd forgotten I had bought a couple of years ago and not used. I put it on my low G tenor on the 2nd fret and it's given me another dimension of open chord sounds. If you've never tried this you might like to. Mine's a neat little D'Addario ukulele capo.

Laminate woods - does the wood really make a difference to the tone?

I have a Cordoba 20sm which is 4 or 5 years old I think. It's a solid top mahogany with laminated back and sides. The tone is really nice and it has a great sustain for a soprano. I use it tuned to A with low G for fingerstyle. Personally, I think this is the best of the Cordoba series and for a...

Laminate woods - does the wood really make a difference to the tone?

My "basic" understanding is that a laminated wood is a sandwich of layers of wood. In an instrument this provides strength and minimizes the risk of splitting (and possibly reduces production costs). Some argue there's a tonal trade off between solid and laminate construction though there are...

    Does anyone recognize this Ukulele?

Thanks. If you like old time music hall songs, here's another. Though this uke is not as loud as in in the first post, it's still a great partner instrument in this song..

    Does anyone recognize this Ukulele?

https://twitter.com/KateGarnerMusic/status/1733103822321410496?t=U0RZaPBJmF4NVoqW-R-cdg&s=19 The Brits among us will know the guy on the right who's singing with the daughter of his late performing partner Chas of Chas n Dave fame. The uke sounds fantastic in this festive number. Does anyone...

    NUD Timms

38mm. I'm not sure if he builds them all to that nut width. That said, I read he is retiring soon and his son is taking over. I believe the ones appearing on EBAY now were built in recent months and are the last ones we'll see from KT.
