Fungus or bacteria attack on my uke

here is what they wrote "You could try cleaning the instrument and case with some Lysol and a microfiber cloth, then let the instrument air dry for a few days. Be careful to not over saturate the instrument to avoid delaminating glue joints". I left the case in the sun for a couple of hours a...

    Compact Go Bar Deck

Hi, was wondering if you switched to vacuum and if you have some suggestions? I actually already use vacuum for gluing the bridge so extended it to bracing, side lamination etc seems like an obvious choice?

Fungus or bacteria attack on my uke

Interesting. The “infected” uke was surrounded by a whole bunch of other ukes all in hard cases too though those cases were “higher” quality cases.

Fungus or bacteria attack on my uke

Still don’t know why it happened but my suspicion is the hard case in combination with the internal humidifier I used which maybe was not “breathing” at all. Very freaky and yes FREAKED me out :).

Fungus or bacteria attack on my uke

Update: Koaloha got back to me and suggested, just like some of you, to wipe the instrument with Lysol and let it dry for a couple of days. My ukulele already looks much better (see pic) and I wanted to share this in case anyone runs into this issue in the future. thanks everyone for your help...

Fungus or bacteria attack on my uke

haven't touched it yet but some of the finish has definitely been "eaten" as it lost it's gloss. Unfortunately I don't measure the humidity inside the case but it's been in the same shelf with another 15 ukuleles that don't show the same issue. I'm definitely speechless on how this happened but...

    Shaper Origin CNC Router

I was wondering if anyone has experience using a shaper origin router for making templates, slotted headstock, inlays,.... I'm asking as I prefer the smaller footprint over a regular CNC due to my very limited space.
