* What do I mean by "loose but tight"? See post 2
* Standard season rules apply: New songs only. Please collaborate, multitrack or go one take solo. It's all good.
* Don't message me and ask if a particular song fits. The clip and resources listed in post 1 and 2 of the thread will hopefully tell you all you need to know. Remember, any song is a jug band song if your arrangement uses a jug. This week is more about the spirit of your performance, utilising home-made instruments and the vibe you bring over and above arbitrary definitions. Just play!
* I am going to try and comment on every song. there are no limits on entry numbers. If I don't get past your first 3 it's because I'm out of coffee.
* I am going to judge this week in my subjective way based on objective criteria (in the video), because I want to reward effort and the folks that get their teeth into the theme. The winner(s) may not be the person who sings the best, uses technology the best, multi-tracks the best or plays uke the best . But it will be the person(s) that get juggy.

I love that you included a photo of Emmet Otter's Jug Band in the intro video!

Great theme and great intro ...I've been absent from the Seasons for awhile but will see you soon!
I'm going Kweskin for starts!
Cheers!
Glenn

Do you realize, Jon, that you are hosting during UWC (Ukulele World Congress) week? We the Seasonistas of UWC VII are at work right now on something fun for you from Indiana next weekend. :)

Grreat! I've got all this stuff already. Just no people to play all at the same time. Hmmm, who could I invite over??
This is a good point Janet and I should have made mention of it in the introduction thingo:

as someone who is unable to play with other folks or knows how to multi-track I am sure hearing you. You definitely won't be penalised in the judging if you're in this situation as I'll take that well into account my friend. x

So awesome Wendy. I can't wait. Hopefully might see a few old friends pop up also. x

Great theme! Your old youtube channel would have been the perfect place to go for inspiration. It was already an incredible resource for learning songs (already greatly missed) but would have been especially useful this week. Perhaps H Dribs has access to some of the bandito's old material? A couple of those old videos could be great inspiration for us aspiring juggers this week.

as someone who has blown ACROSS the top of a bottle like it's a flute, but never before er you know made that trumpety sound a little way away from it, like this guy explains you should do, I found his little series of vids pretty fascinating, if anyone else might be interested here he is...

janet, I would offer to plink or play jug but you might wanna check how atrociously I do the latter (you know how atrociously I do the former! ;)) before you decide anything!

In the spirit of the theme I just can't help myself.

All those months ago I was jug-less.

CeeJay.....Dont even! :stop:

I think I can safely say

that anyone on the seasons who does not already have jugs

will be rushing about frantically this week trying to get their hands on some

yup

Well, then, it surely is a good thing we are all at a safe distance from each other. Oh, wait ... UWC.
Must remember to cautiously sidestep all errant jugglers.

(Or preempt their attempts by going for the jugular?)
