Create More Emotion in Your Performances by Using Rubato - Rubato is a stylistic approach used to amplify emotion in music. This is accomplished through tempo alteration, specifically via speeding up or slowing down in sections. When executed properly, it can add a “human element” to your performance. This creates a nice contrast to playing perfectly in-time, which can come across as sounding robotic.

This session explains when and how to implement rubato. We’ll also cover the pitfalls of abusing it… which can sound like you are playing “out of time”. This lesson uses our arrangement of “Jurassic Park” as an example song.

Sounds interesting- I'll be sure to check it out when I have the chance.

Triplet Strum Magic: Beyond the Triplet Strum - The triplet strum is one of the most popular techniques in ukulele playing. Typically, this strumming technique is applied to triplet rhythms. We’ll split this course into three parts. In module 1, you’ll learn the triplet strum technique in its most commonly used application. This will set the foundation for the next two modules, which will transform the triplet technique into a complete, self-contained right hand playing style.
