Hi friends, I will be carrying the ukulele torch as I just got booked to play at the huge Waterfront Blues Festival. This is a four day event and the largest blues festival west of the Mississippi. While I will mostly be playing guitar you can count on me to do some uke tunes. I have a hunch I will be the only ukulele player on stage in the four days. Two other artists that played on my new all uke swing / blues CD "Sugar Moon" are also playing the festival so I may be able to have them sit in with me. That is the great Mary Flower on guitar and New Orleans legend Reggie Houston (who is one mean sax player). My set is on the Front Porch Stage on Thursday, July 2 from noon to 1 pm. Also at the festival is Buddy Guy, Greg Allman, Allen Toussaint, Phil & Dave Alvin and lots more. Close to 100,000 people attend the four day festival! Below is a link to some Sugar Moon sample tracks. It is now available on iTunes and will soon be on Pandora.
Cheers, James Clem

Good on ya, James!

The Waterfront Blues Festival is the place to be on July 4th weekend in Portland. Always an interesting assortment of great music and you will have a great time. If my employer were not dead set on my need to be at work I would be in attendance. Don't forget the sunscreen and water.
