Hi all. I am considering buying a vintage martin baritone. It is a beautiful instrument but is missing a fret marker. I know it doesn't really matter but it is the type of little thing that would just drive me nuts. Anyone know how difficult / expensive it might be to get a local shop to repair it. I live near Gryphon strings in palo alto and they seem to fix up a lot of old martins. I'll contact them tomorrow but I wanted to get some of your experiences here as well.

Thanks so much.

If it were my uke I would look for a fret marker the correct size and glue it in myself. In the meantime , you could put a sticker over it. I have a uke ( my first ) that has had
fret marker stickers on if for well over 5 years and they still look good.
