Very good. I am making a case for the uBass I made from ply and it is a pain. Your way looks much simpler and probably a bit lighter.

As silly as it seems (and on reflection not that silly) I think I know where my next case is coming from.
 
That's a great idea! How did you attach the clips and handle? Is there enough thickness of wood to screw into?

thanks everyone! I was worried about that but the wood is about three millimetres thick and the papermache adds another 2 mm plus for the handle I doubled the wood up on the inside.
 
Nice Case - I particularly like the leopard print lining.

That video was hilarious - AND the guy's got a point: even if his paint, clasp, foam, and fabric cost more than a cheaply manufactured case, it was still worth his time and money to have something hand-made, and made by himself. No Marxist theory of alienation need be part of the product, producer, nor owner.
