Silvertone Bari mods.
There are several things I want to do to my Silvertone bari.
Can I please get some help with a few things. I have searched online but would rather get some real help for professionals.
First, I have access to all kinds of wood-working tools and devices at the local boatworks.
1. Remove the old bridge. It is on there tight.
(I read about steaming it, is that the easiest way to do?)
2. Sand the whole thing down so I can refinish it with something besides the old gloss.
What grades of sandpaper to start with and finish. Suggestions for a rub or no-spray finish.
3. Fill the tuner holes so they can be re-drilled and fit with different tuners, I got a bit too ambitious with the drill last time. Oops.
(I have access to epoxy and wood filler if needed, I was thinking that might be the easiest way to solve that problem)
That should get me started.
Thanks in advance,
Johnson
