E string keeps coming out of tune..

I have a Honu Soprano KDX-Delux, made in January 2007. It has friction tuners strung with Aquilas. I've had it for a few weeks, haven't played it much because I'm not supposed to; but within the last week the E string keeps getting out of tune whenever I play it for ~ 30 sec. And when I try to re-tune it, the peg has trouble keeping it up to a E. I'm thinking the problem is the peg and not the string. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

try to check if the screw of the tuning peg is loose. But don'T use too much force while you tighten it again.
