Just came across this thread. I found a used Ana'Ole Koa Tenor online (Reverb) about 18 months ago, and was able to pick it up for a great price. The sound is exceptional, and I love playing it. The finish isn't "factory perfect", but being handmade, I think that adds some character to it. The build is flawless though, and did I mention the sound? It is warm and rich, like a Koa tenor should be, it's got serious projection, and the resonance goes on and on. Action is low, and intonation is excellent. I am not sure if Gareth "Bula" Yahiko is still producing ukes (it's a shame if he isn't) but he never made them in big numbers. You can still find soused ones online in the US. If you find one ... buy it!
