I'm trying to perfect the "flick" (as used in a fan or a chuck strum). Most players start with their pinky finger and roll toward their index. It's easier and more comfortable for me to do it the other direction, starting with the index finger and flicking to the pinky . Is there a benefit to doing it one way or the other?

No real benefit (as far as I can hear) ... I use index-finger-first as well, nobody ever told me otherwise!

Technically it's possible that the index finger could be slightly more powerful, hence louder, than the little finger ...

If it works for you ... :music:
