I've had this set of Sapele on the shelf for about 8 years waiting for a special project to warrant using it. Don't mind saying I was pretty nervouse bending those sides.

Body - Sapele
Soundboard - Western Red Cedar
Peg Head Veneers - Sapele
Fret Board - Macasar Ebony with 12" - 16" compound radius
Rosette - Spalted Maple
Bindings - Indian Rosewood
Tuners - Waverly with Snake Wood buttons
Finish - High gloss lacquer

very nice indeed.
The sapele looks darker than other examples I've seen. Is that the wood's natural colour or did you do anything in the finish to get this? ... or perhaps my computer is not very good at colours (highly likely on this crappy old laptop).

Pretty to look at, and I'll bet it's voice is pretty too. You said you had concerns about bending it. But you got her done right proper.

Natural color on the Sapele. It darkened up a fair bit with the epoxy pore fill.

Can't use pinned bridges with a 6 string. The pairs are about 3mm apart and bridge pins are about 5mm diameter.
