Great review. According to Amazon, the price is only good until August 15th. Quiet doesn't scare me at all. In fact, that makes me want one!

    Wish it was a tenor . . .

Just looked at Amazon, and if I'm looking at the round Enya package that we're talking about, it's now: "New (1) from $95.88 + $7.84 shipping."

After the review went up I counted at least about 30 sales (perhaps more) then it went out of stock. Then some other sellers popped up with inflated prices (surprise surprise). Last time I checked though the original price seller (link on my page) still had them, then they didn't, then they did again - so it's fluid I think.

BTW - i would still buy one of these at RRP.

I ordered one this morning as soon as I finished reading Baz's review.
At that price and based on the review, I had a feeling they would sell out pretty quickly.

Even if it is a bit quiet, who could pass up a decent uke for $28.99!
Especially with all those accessories! Should have mine by Wednesday.

    Thanks Baz!

They are around $34 on ebay. Almost bought one two weeks ago. Glad I didn't and got the deal on Amazon, it turned out free with points.

Oh boy . . . Hope their tenors are as good as this one because I just ordered a Sapele Tenor for $67.

The seller had 100% ratings. Good return policy, too.

So, for $67 (free shipping), I will be able to try the tenor size and see what I think. Hopefully, it will be a good one. It not, I can return it. Besides, I have more than $67 worth of yarn sitting around unused right now. So, what's the difference?

I agree totally with the review Bazmaz did. I did not like the strings. I had a set of Kala Reds that I got awhile back for cheap on clearance at a local music store and put them on. The tone is still nice and the uke is obviously louder. I did need to widen the nut slot for the C string. These strings are not easy to find, but if have some collecting dust it might be worth a try.

I received mine yesterday. Generally speaking, I really, really dislike sopranos. I **love** this one. Yes, it's quiet, which is good in my book. I took it to my lesson and my instructor loved it too - he's going to order one. He was playing some Tom Petty song on it (beats me which one, I hate to say I barely know any of Tom Petty's work) and thought it was terrific, and then decided it would also be good for more contemplative songs and segued into Silent Night. It was lovely.

Thanks, Bazmaz! My faith in the soprano family has been restored!
