How should I hold my ukulele? Do I hold it with my left hand on the fret and right hand on the body? Or do i hold it with my right hand on the fret and left hand on the body? Any advice?

The standard/right-handed way is to fret with the left hand, and strum with the right.

I'd also recommend getting a strap button installed so you only have to concern yourself with fretting and strumming, rather than having to focus on holding as well - but it's a matter of personal preference.

I agree with getting strap buttons installed so you never have to hold uke, a strap allows you to just play.

As a beginner, I would also suggest using a strap, even though I personally don't, it makes for one less thing to have to concentrate on whilst learning to fret & strum, which isn't easy, so don't get put off if it takes you a while to figure it all out. :)

(I mainly pick melodies, therefore, I hold my uke with my right hand whilst I pluck the strings, usually with my thumb, but that's just me. ;) )
