Scroll Saw: Useful Tool or Not?

It is useful for those who do woodworking all the time. I don't see any point in buying it just to use it once. Especially, taking into account that they are not cheap. Besides, I wouldn’t recommend you to buy cheap tools or power tools. Their quality is low and it might end up in some bad accidents. Especially, you should take it into account when you buy saws and different power tools. I’m planning to buy a scroll saw and right now I’m looking through different guides and reviews. I was lent one by my brother, no hurry to get back. Only used it to cut out tops and backs of guitars. Even for that I would be thinking, "Do I really want to do this?" The only reason is if I wanted to retain the cut offs in one piece. Other than that I would rather use a metal bandsaw I have. (I need to do the bearings on the wood bandsaw).
