I was jamming one day and I was playing this tune on the link below.
It sounds so familiar. What is it from? Any leads would be most welcomed.

Hmm for some reason I had to click view in HQ to get the video to play, but I'm coming up with ?? in regards to that tune, hope someone else can ID

no clue, I tried using shazam on the iphone and it didn't recognize it. sounds great though, sounds like a Damian Marley song in one part though.
 
any chance of it being some hip hop?
I feel the need to check all my itunes library for this song. Regardless it sounds good. You have a song in the works.

if it's a song I have, I better make sure the rest of it sounds just as nice or energetic; at least worthy of that part anyways.
 
Your version sounds very similar to a piece of electronic (some kind of synth) music I've heard, either in a commercial or as fill music on NPR. Can't place it, though.
 
First thing I thought of was 'Modest Mouse - Float On' but that's kind of a reach...
 
It's a similar strumming pattern. I can play that tune, different chords of course.
