Does one need to stand up while using the Mobius strap?

Tim you invented the Mobius strap? I had ordered this strap before I saw your post.

    Is the Mobuis strap better?

    Hi 4Jesus,

When I was looking for something to support my tenor ukulele I considered a sound hole hook such as this one but realized that if I removed both hands from the uke it would either fall to the floor or (if you're lucky!) hang from the edge of the sound hole by the hook -- neither of which sounded like a good idea to me. What I came up with supports the ukulele without hands and even gets rid of the "neck drop" problem that tends to occur with ukes using a guitar-type strap attached at the heel. I thought it was such a good idea I patented it!

In answer to your other question, when properly adjusted the Mobius Strap works fine when sitting, as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiTpF8OMFDY
