Sarah Maisel made straps

Just ordered my second one! Bought the first in conjunction with an Oahu case from HMS. I agree with everyone's reviews that it really is the perfect strap for ukes with a strap button/end pin. This new one will be for my Kala Elite. Since the headstock overlay is a light wood, I opted for the tan colored ties. Nice of Sarah to offer that choice.

I'm probably overly fussy, but I prefer to use a strap button on the base of the neck. Having something tied near the headstock seems like a good way to put wear marks on the neck.

I use a larkes head knot/loop through the leather tab and a Becket bend/sheet bend to tie it off.

I haven't tried these but I have considered them;

Alibaba has 2.5" leather guitar straps for $2.42, with free shipping. Man, they sure have some cheap stuff! I think a strap from Sarah's will be my next one. I'll have her autograph it the next time I see her at an event. :)

I totally hear ya about being fussy, Jerryc! One of the great things about Sarah is the included strap is such a soft suede. Velvety soft, buttery soft, sofffffffffft.

I'm not worried about it marking the neck. I'd be more worried about botching the drill job, LOL!

Sarah will be at the Allegheny Ukulele Soiree in two weeks, so I'll buy a strap and see if I can get her to autograph it. My problem is that there are too many choices. :)

I have 2 of these straps, and really love them. Beautifully made, and comfortable.

I was in the market for a conventional, but well made and good looking straps as a gift for my wife and found Sarah's store on Etsy.
I ordered one. I'll post a review when it gets here.
Kind of exited Sarah is one of my favorites!

This is the one I bought:

Yes, very nice straps. Early in her career, she sewed for a living. I forget the details, but it was something big. Then she developed problems with her wrists and hands - could barely move them. Obviously, she got over that, although she still has problems occasionally.

I got one of the green straps.

Got this one red floral strap for the Tiny Teny mahoganyI just bought. Also bought a couple of strap butttons in ebony from Stew Mac...
