    Default Fretless Ukulele Bass?

Looking to pick up a fretless ukulele bass for travel and maybe some upright-ish sounding stuff. Was wondering if anyone had experience with either of these or could point me in a better direction. I'm trying to keep it sub $300 if possible.

Those are perfectly fine. They're imported by Rondomusic.com in New Hampshire. You can go to their website and search for bass uke to see more choices. I have only fretted, acoustic and solid body, playing with a 60 person ukulele group.

Do fretless and fretted models tend to be of the same relative quality or is one more playable than the other? I'm primarily a bassist and on larger instruments I know it's mostly preference but I'm not as knowledgeable about ukulele.

I had a custom made 21" scale fretless, which I used for a few years, but although I didn't find it difficult to play fretless, after a while, I decided I prefer fretted. There is a school of thought about short scale bass ukes that the intonation can be difficult, and fretless is a way to overcome that.
