    Ahoy everybody.
Today I decided to experiment a little bit, so I did another hip-hop song on the Uke.
Here is 'Lick a Shot' by Cypress Hill
    Enjoy

Thanks - I have filed it away. I should have done it today - the one I ended up choosing was a pig to play - but sometime soon it will be on top of the pile.

3.4 Post offensive things. Occasional profanity may be tolerated, but if it isn't necessary please consider not using it.

It definitely doesn't fall foul of 3.2 and I could argue that the profanity is artistically necessary for the song in question, and even quite poetic, so I think I'll go with it.

Now I just hope that I get time to record the song or I will have caused a fuss for nothing.
Sounds fine to me then, Robin. I hope you'll get to bring it!

I first heard this song performed by Fischerspooner. Then I found out it's by Wire. And it's so good. And I've never played a song from either group before. Ah, sweet discovery.

Friday afternoon here on Long Island and for me, the weekend has officially begun. I hope everyone has been enjoying this Season as much as I have. We've a few more days to go and I look forward to what's still to come.

I'm blown away by Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn on this one. Gorgeous song. Gorgeous duet. Worth a listen:

I have really enjoyed the prompt to look for 'new to me music' this week Linda. I do it every now and again mainly to meet a seasons theme. But I've done it every day this week.
    So a BIG thank you!
This one is brill imho. Love the driving rhythm and the energy. It is longer than need be imho. It sort of encouraged my latest original. Black Dresses is also worth a listen. Didn't hear anything I didn't like.

I have also discovered Patty Gurdy this week and learnt about the Hurdy Gurdy.
