::Leader Board:: Ahnko Honu Takes The Lead Chapter 23!

This is funny. I would have loved the chance to learn how to operate the machines in a machine shop such as you had.

On the other hand, as an adult I strongly dislike yard work. As a kid I cut and edged several yards in addition to doing a paper route. So to me yard work is simply work. There is nothing relaxing about it.

I did the yard work for the family's rental properties as well as the stuff at home. Dad paid for the work done at the rentals, not for the stuff at home (that was chores, as it should be).

I loathe yardwork. Having ours done for us is one luxury I'm willing to pay for.

I love the prototype work or mold making (it's like a puzzle) but the production work just drains your soul. I currently have an old end mill in my garage. I have all the stuff to make ukuleles actually except a drum sander. Maybe some day. I'd actually like to learn inlay or marquetry (sp?). That would be more appealing to me.

growing up on orchards, I'm not a big fan of yard work either. Gardening I don't mind but weekly mowing, trimming, raking sucks. I think it's because it has to be done and a garden is something you want to do or you wouldn't do it.

Amen! Brother.

Mowing I was happy to do in Kansas as long as I had a power mower. Besides, mowing immunized me from vacuuming. Our yard in Phoenix doesn't warrant the power tools. Gardening is simply work I didn't ask for. Mrs Pere tried to guilt me into doing it, but no.

I took a marquetry class once, many years ago. It was fun, but apparently not enough for me to continue doing it....

I used to do yard work, before we moved to the condo, but I hated it. Gardening? I'd rather go to the dentist.

It's been two years since I've had to do yard work, and if all goes as planned, I will never do so again....

Strip clubs were never my thing.
I just feel bad for the women.
Men are creepy.

All that being said, I went to a male strip club once, I was escorting Nanilei, her sisters, and her cousin, we went to Vegas for a wedding and I was escorting the bachelorette party. I walked in with 6 girls.
Instant Baller status.
The guys (performers) were aggressive with the girls they would pull on stage, often tugging off their tops or hiking up their skirts.
Each time they did they directed the exposed flesh right at me and winked. It was hilarious.
Best time I ever had at a strip club!

I haven't been to a club in a long time. But when I was 21 I used to have a buddy that Used to take me. He would have stacks of cash we would go thru. Once we styaued for 8 hrs.....crazy day that was.

None of the girls who dance in those clubs today had even been born yet the last time I ventured into a club like that....

I had a buddy like that. He dropped a ton of cash at the famous Mitchel Brothers in SF.

That place was wild.

When I went to a bartender's convention in Vegas we were walking down the strip and my buddy spotted a famous strip club (I can't remember the name). I sat down at the bar and got propositioned by a stripper that had to be my mom's age at the time (I was 27 or so). My other buddy and I each gave her money to go give our boss a lap dance to remember :)

I've never seen anyone look so uncomfortable in my life. Even funnier because it was his idea to check it out.

That's two of the five times I've been to a strip bar. The third time I saw a girl I went to school with (when I went back to college). The other two times were bachelor parties. One was a cooed party and the girls wanted to go.

My sophomores were bouncing off the walls yesterday so today we're finishing up Lord of the Flies (movie) and then moving on to A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and then a FoodNetwork Thanksgiving challenge.
