Well she’s not dieting, she’s working. And when you are massaging all day you are crazy ravenous. People have no idea how many calories an MT burns during a massage. I’ve seen student almost faint when they tried to work without the proper calorie intake. You have to eat something and drink water between each massage to keep your energy up. Nuts are easy to scarf down quickly, high in protein, and they don’t give you bad breath. Most spas you have less than 10 minutes between clients. Within that time you have to wait for your first client to dress, give them water, and leave, then you change the sheets, go pee, drink water, eat something, and be ready to greet your next client. It’s madness and why I won’t work in a regular spa.
