::Leader Board:: Ahnko Honu Takes The Lead Chapter 23!

This is a different key than I use, I go up a step or two (I play it in E I think), but it's what I could find while riding TheBus.
Code:

The news is out,
         C
All over town
                 G
That you've been seen,
             D7
Out runnin' 'round.

            G
I know that I
                 C
Should leave but then,
             G
I just can't go,
D7 G
You win again.

              C
This heart of mine,
            G
Could never see
            A
What everybody
      D Dsus4 D
Knows but me.

              G
Just trustin' you
             C
Was my great sin,
             G
I just can't go, Lord
D7 G
You win again.

           G
What can I do, Lord,
D7 G
You win again.

Half of the time it seems to me the [2020] D7 works best. What ever sounds best to you though.

Thanks, Rob! Always a favorite. Some restaurant has started using it in a TV commercial....

Thanks, Damon! Two great songs in one day, for me....

So obviously a Saturday....

Went to Arizona State Sun Devils (her team) versus Washington State Cougars (my team) football game today. ASU won, so I'm disappointed. Oh well, it's only a game. Lots of Cougar fans here. Good to be part of a crew.

I'm not a big football fan. The head injury legacy is just too serious. But I have to back my Cougs when they come to town. We do like hockey games; all three of us love the game.

This morning I took the last of the recent steroid regimen. Now it looks like another sleepless night of steroid induced insomnia....

We head back to Tampa tomorrow, for another three day hotel stay. Monday is IV fluids and a PET scan, Tuesday is more IV fluids, followed by a CT scan and labs, with a doctor consult in the morning. The CT finishes late in the afternoon, so we'll stay over Tuesday night and drive home on Wednesday.

Inching closer to the prolonged hospital stay....

We went to a lawyer this week to get all our important papers in order. These are things we should have done years ago. We both got wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies and living wills.

Nothing like waiting until the last possible minute. I feel better, now, having those things done....

Because of Monday's PET scan, tomorrow I have to follow their special dietary restrictions again. I can have meat, eggs, cheese and leafy greens. I may not have any carbs or sugars.

Elaine makes me this scrambled egg omelette thing with just the eggs, cheese, spinach leaves and chopped summer sausage.

That's about the only meat we're finding without sugars.

It tastes really good, and I eat it all day, the day before a PET scan...

If I'm not careful, I'm going to fill up the rest of this page. Earlier, I was getting blacklisted after every couple of replies. It seems better, at the moment....

Some of the restrictions for my upcoming hospital stay are weird, too. All of our toiletries (for both of us) have to be brought in brand-new, and unopened, for example....

There will be an extremely high defense against any sort of possible infection, as my immune system will be effectively destroyed, temporarily....

They provide a special, red liquid soap for me to bathe with every day, from the neck down. It's supposed to stave off infection, I guess, and they say it's very important. Elaine is going to help me get my back, and probably my lower legs, where I have trouble reaching.

Apparently this stuff won't lather up, and has to be used with a washcloth. It leaves a hard to rinse film behind, but a clean washcloth helps with that.

All of my linens will be one time use, only....
