Rear-ended today. Not enough damage to stop us from leaving Sunday. Still an unnecessary bonus feature to an already crummy week.
Cell phone?

Posted the following on FB, but since someone doesn’t do FB, I’m reposting it here:
The child formerly known as boy spawn, whose pronouns are now they/them/their, has grown so much as a person in the last few years. It makes my heart happy to see Chris finding their way in the world and making connections. We struggled so much in raising Chris. And for Chris, just existing was a daily challenge. (For those not in the know, they are neurodivergent and genderqueer.) When Chris was nine, they said they felt like they were born to the wrong body and the wrong species on the wrong planet. There were times Sean and I felt at a complete loss as to what to do for them. The roughest patch of it, I felt like I was constantly failing them as a mother. That child has taught us so much more, I think, than we taught them.
Tonight I learned more about D&D than I’ve ever wanted to know. Or thought I’d ever be interested in hearing. (Yesterday it was all the flavors of socialism.) It was actually quite fascinating.
Much love and mahalos to those who supported us during those years.
Hope your insurance and the other party take care of your car without incident.
The second to last time I got rear ended was by a twenty-something kid. I offered to let him pay without the insurance companies getting involved and he took that as a sign of potential guilt on my part I guess. After about three calls and three excuses about why he shouldn't have to pay (dumb kid, I had a police report). I told him I was just going to report it to insurance and ask that they subpoena his phone records to see if he was on his cell, and that his insurance was going to least double if he was.
I know I don't have that kind of power, but I had a cashiers check within three hours.
The last time I got rear-ended was a teen on her phone. I didn't bother trying to be nice this time and just went straight through insurance.
Yea Gary been upto not too much. Did 2 weeks at beach it was ok. The wife was upset with me for almost whole trip so that was fun.....getting ready to go to amusement park and camp there again. This week coming up.
At the beach. Got here at 7:30 and barely snagged a ring. It’s so hot here every inlander is at my beach. Grrrrrrrrrr!
I'm trying to figure out "barely snagged a ring". Obviously a beach thing, but I don't know what....
I thought the same. I remember seeing fire rings on the beach at some beaches in Avila Beach just up past Pismo.
But I feel like they were more for night time not the day they weren't really close to the water. When I go I figure out the tides then plan to be ocean front depending on the day and how the tide moves.
In NJ everyone wants to be right in top of everyone else as well. So I spread out towels and umbrellas giving me a nice buffer when they move close. I hate it the most when someone parks right in front of me and blocks my ocean view. So I scatter kids toys and games in front of us as well to deter people.

Last week a group of people were inches from me it made me so mad I wanted to make obnoxious bodily functions happen but it didn't work out.
or carnie talk
Our beach is very deep, like an eighth of a mile deep and there’s 8 miles of coastline in our town. There’s always room. The only time I’ve seen it crazy crowded is on the fourth.
New house deal in the works. Fingers crossed.
