I have written several tunes in this style, but not really tried it on the uke before - what do you think? There's some multi-tracking, bass is from Band-in-a-Box, the guitars are me.
Mike, the forum Links and Videos is specifically for members to show themselves playing, there are lots and lots of them.It would be nice if more members posted their playing. Really great stuff, Mike
Very very nice, loved it. Now if you only had a gypsy jazz Selmer Maccaferri Django style uke to make it complete. I had my tenor made by Bruce Wei in Vietnam for $780 delivered, but I don't play gypsy jazz style, maybe I should.
8 tenor cutaway ukes, 3 acoustic bass ukes, 8 solid body bass ukes, 7 mini electric bass guitars

Great! I love that style and you really capture the essence.

Very nicely played. Fantastic arrangement!
I am surprised you did not file down the pick. How did you avoid the tic tic tic sound or do you hit it at a specific angle? I bought the same one as yours but ended up going back to using plastic and filed it down !

Love it Wingnutz! Very well done!
Sooooo refreshing. I enjoyed every bit of that, and had a second helping also. It would be nice if more members posted their playing.
Keep them coming Laurence. I am now watching for you next post....
Really great stuff,

Awesome work Laurence, I absolutely love Gypsy Jazz!
Great stuff Laurence. I love every second of it.
It's actually a tenor ukulele, the top is solid curly maple, also known as tiger or flame maple, the body is solid Indian Rosewood. Bruce Wei sells ready made ones from about $300 to $500 on eBay made of solid acacia koa and/or spruce. That guitar is a beauty! Looks like some very exotic woods - what are they?
