Nice to meet you all. My name is Yishai (pronounced Yee-Shy).
I first became interested in ukulele after listening to my grandmothers Tiny Tim album not so long ago. I didn't realize that there was a ukulele resurgence going on at the time, this was right after Jake Shimabukuro's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" video came out and right before Julia Nunes won the Bushman Ukulele contest.
When I visited my favorite music store at the time they only had 2 ukuleles, an inexpensive Hilo soprano with a plastic fretboard and a glossy Oscar Schmidt concert. I bought the Hilo, which I still have.
Since then I've bought and sold many ukulele's but my main team is an early 50's Wabash baritone, a locally made spruce and walnut concert, a Teton solid-bodied electric, and a tenor sized Outdoor Ukulele for playing in the car.
I hope to learn more about ukuleles and the folks that play them here in your forum. Thank you!
