Video of trimming fret tang for precise fit

I've tried quite a few fret tang nippers and while they work, the results have always left me thinking there should be something better, expcially on the low narrow fret wire I use on my instruments.

So looking for improvements to my process and outcomes I decided to try out the LMI fret tang trimming jig. And pleased to say that the results are a vast improvement to what I have tried to date.

Thank you, Allen! That is excellent information. I bought the stewmac Fret Tang Nipper without doing due research. It was after trying it out that I read somebody's comment about it not working for the narrow wire. So I may simply return it and get the LMI fret filer. More money, but as a beginner I might as well do my best to gear up properly.
