Kamele Hawaiian Ukes circa 1930’s - Background Info Please

A new member joined the group I play with today bringing along her fathers Uke from the 1930’s. The family story goes that he had it as a teenager and in 1936 brought it with him to the Berlin Olympics. He may have been an Australian Olympian.

I haven’t been able to find any background history for the brand, Kamele Hawaiian. Has any vintage collector ever heard of this brand?

I wish the pix on UU could be larger. I want to see this beauty, and others, close up. Maybe there's some setting on my computer I can fiddle with.

That headstock shape says "Batman" to me. I love it.
