season 336 COMPILATION REKKID seeking input

howdy y'all

really would have preferred not to make this thread,
but it seems I cannot receive or reply via my PM box anymore.

season 336 has been grand
in so many ways.

some of you may recall that in my initial post(s),
I spoke of my intention to compile a rekkid (well, CD)
featuring songs from the week and all who participated herein.

it would be easy for me to go ahead and make an album
of the songs I liked best, but I don't want to do that
in such an arbitrary way.

so, to my question for y'all,
and the basis of this thread:

I want this album to be a collaboration
that reflects the community we are.
I would like you guys and gals to please make a post here,
and let me know which one or two of your recordings
from this week you would most like to appear on the rekkid.
really, it's as simple as that.

of course I have my own favourites
but I so much want this to be a joint project.

further, if, for some reason, you would not like any of your music
to appear on the CD, please make it known on the thread.

we have the stuff of a ripper rekkid here.

my hope is that you'll each enjoy listening to it
and that it will ultimately be a document of a week we've enjoyed together,
for fun, for our shared friendship and love of music, and for this lil ol community.

yeah, it's gonna take some time to do...
y'all will need to bare with me for a week or three -
most time consuming aspect will be trying to get the levels and vibe consistent across a bunch of recordings that differ in volume and sound.
that said, I can't wait to do it.

this week has been an incredible joy to me.

if you don't respond, I will select my own favourite from what you've recorded.

I would like to send hard copies of the rekkid to the 'winners'
of the season, and which will feature joo's art.
the time involved and cost makes it nigh impossible to send a copy to everyone,
so, as a substitute, we are hoping we can make a file of the album
that will be downloadable for everyone.

Fantastic week Jon - and I still haven't caught up with them all.

From my two, I think Ain't She Sweet would be my choice. The Sound of Music mashup was a bit of throwaway madness, to be used only in an emergency.

It was a fascinating season.When first announced I thought 60 seconds would be too short.But I was wrong.it was a discipline I really enjoyed.Any of my songs are ok to use.I'd be proud to be on it somewhere.

ok Val. all your clips this week were a joy.

I'll leave up to you Jon, as long as my entries aren't put on the B Side !! Lol

One was a song I cobbled together in the middle of the night. The other three pale imitations of songs I love. Do with that what you will but I enjoyed the challenge and wish I had more time to bring stuff.

I'd rather have you pick what you liked best of mine, and even sprinkle some of your "magic dust" on it if you so desire.

One of my originals, Jon but I'll leave you to decide. If you want better quality audio given YT squashes the hell out of the vids, let me know and I can put a flac (lossless compression) copy on dropbox and send you a link via PM.

Wasn't meant to come across that way for my part at least. More a reticence on my part to say "I think this thing I did is really good"
