Just looked at your stringed instrument database. Very impressive 'collection'. The number of variations on how to make sound is mind boggling. As a maker it is somehow permission to try something new, because there are so many possible forms. We tend to get stuck in the few that we see and that are popular now.
 
Nice looking instrument. Always good to see what you are making.

Ive just checked out the mandore on Wiki and Youtube: there are some examples of various versions being played. All very interesting to me as a hobby instrument maker.
