Hey....
We need some advice, from folks who have taught ukulele to sick kids, like the recipients of Ukulele Kids Club ukuleles.
We do believe that their lessons should be shorter than those for well kids, but other than that, we're not really sure where to try to take them when they get a uke and have never played one before.
Anyone?

When we go to UCLA/Mattel Children's hospital, we don't teach them exactly, the music therapist and her staff do that formally, but when we gift a uke to one of the kids who's old enough, we have them strum the open strings (Am7/C6) and we play along. If they get into it, we have them do a C since it's one finger and we play "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." some have shown real aptitude with keeping rhythm.

Does that hospital have a music therapy department, if so, check with them.

8 tenor cutaway ukes, 3 acoustic bass ukes, 8 solid body bass ukes, 7 mini electric bass guitars
