Tiny Pickup

The shielding completely cut the hum. It's copper tape on the top, and aluminum (thinner, lighter) on the bottom.
I'm comparing it against an AXL, not an expensive pickup that is currently installed. Taping it with blue painters tape to the top in front of the bridge. So far, sounds pretty good, but not sure which is better.
I've a feeling that the Sunyin and Feather and like pickups use a very similar or same piezo film element, but I don't want to buy one just to tear it apart and find out.
What do you think - are most piezo disk types pretty much the same? I think they are all $0.50 disks encapsulated and wired to a jack (or preamp)...
