    Yes, the bloke is undoubtedly a master of the instrument but is the video about music or showmanship? I think that itís all about showmanship - it was probably lifted from a film so should we expect anything else? What I like is music so the video didnít Ďhit the spotí for me, but YMMV. The late John King was a master of the instrument too, I could happily listen to his videos for hours. Johnís Videos contain little if any showmanship but are crammed full of music.

    I also assume that clip is from a movie. I laugh every time I see it...Roy all over that uke at breakneck speed, while being totally calm, with his Cheshire Cat grin.

    I'm a Roy Smeck fan also , I read his biography and now whenever I see him I think of the story of him with the Three Stooges.

    John King and Roy Smeck are two entirely different performers who play entirely different music for different audiences. I like to listen to them both. But I love to watch Roy Smeck. Also our own George Elmes.
