I'm performing my version of the classic song "The birds and the bees" by Jewel Akens on the ukulele with my small dowel as a pick.

Nice job. I have never seen a dowel used as a pick. It gives a nice beat to the sound.

It does give a nice percussion to the beat. I've been using a pen for a while, but a wooden dowel works better.
