Misi on a short scale bass?

I have a Misi pickup for ukulele. Can I use it on a short scale aucoustic bass with wound nylon strings?

As long as the pickup element is long enough to include all four strings, should be no problem. I've used a few different ukulele preamps and pickups on my bass ukes and they sound fine.
