    Default Hello from Portland, Oregon

I'm committed to buying a uke and learning to play. I play guitar but my arthritis has made it impossible for me to hold my guitar, (shoulder pain), let alone change chords, (wrists and hands), but I write songs and use the guitar for creating my melodies. I'm hoping the ukulele being a smaller size, will do the trick. I'm so glad I found Ukulee Underground!

Welcome to the Forum! My own arthritic hands are finding the ukulele to be manageable. Hope it works for you too!

Glad to have another Portlander on the board. There are a few uke groups in the Portland area, and some great luthiers in the Pacific Northwest.

Hi Ladypriest. Ukulele is good for more than physical maladies. Welcome.
