the guy who makes these comes to my city every summer for this seasonal arts fair. i bought this about 3 years ago for $200. really unique instrument. the shape/material makes it a bit awkward to hold without a strap but it plays really nicely and looks really cool! did a little video to show it off:



anyone else own one of these? or any similar tin can instruments?
 
We said Steam Punk at exactly the same time !!! First thing that crossed what's left of my mind !! It sounds like a cross between a shamisen and a full sized banjo. Is it strung with steel strings or nylon ? Sounds better than a Banjo Uke..and I like banj ukes !!

it's strung with regular steel banjo strings! probably due for a string change actually, i'm not sure if i've changed them since i bought it lol
