I have Aquilla's on my vintage 1940's Style 1 Martin Tenor and I hate them on there. So, I am looking to change the strings. I have a number of options already here at home, please let me know your thoughts for this particular ukulele.

1. Moore Bettah strings with flat wound low - G & C

2. Worth Clears with Low-G

3. Living Water

4. Freemont Black Line

5. Martin 620

I prefer low-G. Not sure if Wound is better than flurocarbon for the Low-G on this uke? Also not sure about that Low-G and Low C together for this uke?

Any thing else I should consider?

Pretty simple really. If you like the sound of low G with a florocarbon G string then the Worth. If you prefer a wound low G the Moore Bettah set, I am very much in favor of wound G and C strings.

I went with the Moore Bettah string set and what a huge difference it made. The Martin sounds like a million bucks and (for me) is easier to play than with the Aquilla's, which I could never get used to.

Thanks everyone
