Tahitian Tuning

Tahitian ukes traditionally use the same diameter string for all four strings (30 pound fluorocarbon fishing line, yellow/green preferred). The middle 2 strings are tuned C and E, but an octave higher. So I'd imagine you'd need to change them out for a thicker string to keep up a decent tension.

Yes, but gceA (high g, c, and e- e is highest string) rather than gCEA (just high g). It makes them sound almost Mandolin-like. I play mine when I want to ad that kind sound to the group I'm playing with, although it's hard to resist doing some ultra-fast Tahitian strumming or triplets in there lol.
