NUD 2014 LFDM Spruce/Walnut

Thanks,
It will get a lot of play time!
Ron

Congrats, Ron. What a spectacular looking set of walnut!

Thanks Eddie,
The Bastogne Walnut is a premium walnut. There is not much on the web about it, but is highly regarded, even above Claro Walnut. The top is Carpathian Spruce, which also has a great reputation.

Congratulations, Ron, great score! Are you the third owner, or did it just take you a while to post this NUD?

I am the second owner. It was commissioned by the first owner.

Congraulations Ron, I remember Luis building this for Len, so I knew it was special. When Corey makes such a "WOW" comment on the video you know it is really special. I am glad it is in good hands as I know Len loved.

So this lit your fire more than the aNueNue Moon Bird you sold, roght? Can you draw any comparisons/contrasts for us?

Yes,
Both have robust and resonant sound.
Both have unusual aesthetics
The LDFM is more balanced in low G for my chord melody style (I am primarily a classical guitarist)
The radius fretboard on the LDFM is slightly better too
Ron

Congratulations! I may have had a chance to play that uke when it was in the possession of its prior owner. In any case, I now own an LFDM baritone, so I know what great instruments LFDMs are. You got a good one!
