A few days ago I tuned my Kala Baritone Ukulele down five half steps. It was tuned DGBE and is now ADF#B. I am using classical guitar strings numbers 5, 4, 3, 2, and tuned the ukulele to DGBE. I get no string buzz but I do get a very mellow, warm sound.

Now the reason for this post. I think I have figured out the chords that I am playing and hearing but I want to be sure before I carry on and practice bad info.

So tuned ADF#B when I play a G shaped chord I am getting a D chord sound. Is that correct?

Then when I capo on 2nd fret and play a G shaped chord I get a E chord sound. Again is that correct?

If I am incorrect or mixed up please advise and explain. Thank you.

It can be confusing. Just to be clear, when you say "G shaped chord", what exactly do you mean? 0003 or 0242?

That part threw me off slightly too, but I assumed 0003

ADF#B is one full step above GCEA.
Since this is a common tuning for parts of the world you should be able to find a chord chart.
