Hello,
I have a Toby Channell tenor carved Jazz Uke for sale. I bought this several years back from the original owner and no longer play...
This one is called the "Simcik" and was made in summer 2012. It was the sixteenth jazz box uke made by Toby confirmed by him in an email to me at the time I purchased the instrument... It was commissioned by a gentleman named Terry Simcik in California and has a MiSi pick up installed - a first for a Jazz Uke made by Toby. It also includes a very tough "coffin" case. The Uke has an X braced spruce top and mahogany back, neck and ribs and I think all the appointments are rosewood.
Two years ago the top developed a crack and I had it repaired by a professional Luthier in Louisville, KY. Top is stable.
Make me a fair offer...
Send me your email address if interested and I can email hi-res pics..
Thanks.
