Very impressed how much volume comes out of these little guys. Smaller than a today's soprano but louder than my Kamaka longneck Concert. Nice warm tone of hog.

Yes, it sounds outstanding! Those 20's Martins sure seem to often sound better than later ones, I'm not sure why, but thankfully they made thousands of them, so I hope to try one someday!

I think that Martin used the last of the real thing Cuban Mahogany on their ukuleles because the remaining pieces were not big enough for guitars. This may be contributing to the outstanding sound of those old critters.
