Why? More sustain! Huh? Okay. There are guitars for all that... All the best luthiers seem to have a Kamaka tenor in possession. That’s good enough for me :) Cheers, all:

I just picked up a custom Jumbo Baritone I had made by George Thomas. It has a tenor Guitar sized body with a 22.8" scale
1 3/8th at the nut nylon string.

To show the size, it's next to my Chennel archtop baritone. Will be doing a NUD later. I took it to a bluegrass rehearsal the other day and it kept it's own against a 5 string banjo, mandolin and rhythm guitar. Sure is different flatpickin on a nylon strung instrument.

I just got the Pono steel string tenor guitar and I really like it. Much bigger sound for what is really just a big baritone It could definitely be considered a guitar-like uke.
