Default What Are You Working On?

Presently, I’m working on Bach’s Cello Concerto. I was wondering what some of you are working on.

Working on Misty. I don't know why, but this tune just popped into my head last week. I did a quick YouTube search and found Pete McCarthy's version. Thanks Petey Mack, that's a fun and easy version.

Try www.doctoruke.com to access his song list - chords, not tab.

Found it. Thanks. I already had that website bookmarked. Great website. Pete’s is a chord melody version.

I've been working on songs from Fred Sokolow's Ragtime Ukulele book. I love it! Just reached a comfortable point with a song called 'Dill Pickles' - time to start a new one.

Hey, Tom, I’m working on the same but only with my Irish tenor banjo in GDAE. I also have it in CGDA.

I was using TAB before, but I decided to use notation from now on. I’m more comfortable with notation except for the chords. They’re easier in TAB.

I must admit that It’s been a slog, and I’m limping badly but making some progress. I think part of my problem is that I’m fretting so slowly that the music isn’t making sense to me. Some of the lines are easy and sound right, but then a part comes up that just doesn’t sound correct.

I’m having a ball though — strife is invigorating. Especially when one finally gets it right. Upward and onward!

I simply cannot believe that we are havin’ a conversation about what MUSIC WE ARE PLAYING!

What about strings and Brand Names and wood types, etc. etc. etc.?

Glory be. There is music being made here.
