8 String Recording Artists

Are there any well known artists known for primarily using the 8 string uke? So far I have only found Alastar McNeil, Faith Ako, and Hiroshi Okada.

Any body know of any others?

Lots of traditional Hawaiian vocal artists/bands like Na Palapalai, Uluwehi Guerrero,etc... Are you looking for it as a featured lead instrument?

Not as a lead instrument. I am interested in seeing what sort of different techniques they use for it in vocal accompaniment so I wanted to find more singers that used am 8 string

I have a Pono acacia taropatch and really enjoy it but I think as far as accompaniment, the same applications apply that go for a 4 string. You can fingerpick it although it lends itself more to strumming in my opinion.
