The South Coast strings sound great on this Uke. Sad to think both MGM and Dirk (owner of SouthCoast Strings) have passed on.

Perhaps another great string set might be the Oasis with Low G.
    How bad is your UAS?

I had bought one of these with a FIVE.O pickup from reverb after seeing/hearing the videos of it on HMS. At the time I was looking for a lower cost Spruce Top/Rosewood body uke. Sadly it was lost in shipping and never arrived. I would have rather have gotten the uke than a refund.

My first "good" ukulele and still have it and play it regularly. I've strung it with Worth Brown strings combined with a Fremont Soloist Low G string and it sounds awesome!

Mike was one of the great men in this world of ours.
Hard to believe he, and now Dirk, are no longer with us.
Beautiful instrument. A fitting tribute to our brother.

Is the rosewood sides/back all solid wood like the top?

I like the checkerboard binding. Unique. I don't usually go for bling, but I like that.

Kinda reminds me of Chicago or London cops...
