With St. Patrick's day coming up, I put together this little medley
The first tune is Eleanor Plunkett by the harper O'Carolan.
Second tune is a jig I learned from The Bothy Band - I was fortunate to attend their debut concert in Dublin and have been a fan ever since! It's actually a slip jig (9/8 time). It has the unlikely title of Give Us a Drink of Water.
The third tune (reel) is Farewell to Erin, which has been performed by many but I listened mostly to the great fiddler Kevin Burke for my source.

Top marks! Brilliant arrangements.

Boy! I soooooooo wish I could do that! well done!

Thank you Dave! You are doing fine - I like your posts.

I watched this on Facebook. I typed a comment but it disappeared on me !
Great playing ! Your playing style is very unique.
Could the secret be all on the thumb with the silver ring ! :D
Thanks Brenda! The thumb pick helps give it some drive, that's for sure.

Super set Laurence. I love slip jigs and have never tried that one, but I will.
Thanks Jim! yes, I love slip jigs too! Designed for three-legged dancers I think...

Hi Laurence, I listened to this elsewhere and I will just repeat my thoughts. Just beautifully played with a real feel for this celtic music. Love your playing!

You're welcome!

That was great! And to think, I almost skipped it because I saw "Air, Jig and Reel" and thought it was in the Luthier's Lounge.
haha I get that!

What a treat! Thanks Laurence for this incredible set.
Glad you liked it Joseph - I was even a little surprised at how well the uke was able to handle these tunes - chalk one up for the ukulele!

Laurence,
That was beautifully played.
Mahalo and aloha.
