Cutting the finger joints: The most important thing here is to accurately lay out the cut lines, and shade the areas to be removed. The lines are about 5mm wide and 5mm deep
The cuts have to be made in the shaded area, inside of the layout lines. It looks a little odd with the un-even spaced cuts.
The waste areas can be removed with a 1/8” router bit, and cleaned up with a utility knife and files.
