Opinion about Renaissance Wax? Have you used it? What do you think? Good or bad?

Very good. It has many uses, but I've only used it on metal such as brass or nickel banjo parts. It's expensive but will go a long way.

Renaissance wax is good stuff. Not as greasy as some wax and not as hard as Carnuba. Cost is not an issue. The small size can will last you for years. Lots of wood workers use it as their only finish on carvings, etc. You need to sand way up in grit to use it that way. I use it on bridges prior to gluing them on and fretboards prior to fretting. With the wood sanded to 2000 grit, I wipe on 2 coats of 2# shellac, lightly steel wool it mostly off, and then apply the wax. Makes a protective, yet repairable lustrous finish.

Renaissance Wax protects fiber base BW prints very well :)
